Certified Peer Development Program (CRPA-P)

Healthy Capital District is offering courses for provisional certification for the role of Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)! We support you through the entire process and are dedicated to your success!! Unlike other programs, we provide THREE MONTHS of support after course completion! From completing foundational training to submitting a completed application, we are here for you! Upon receiving your CRPA-P, you are immediately Medicaid-billable through an OASAS-licensed entity! To qualify for CRPA certification you must: • Have history of a substance use disorder , be someone who has personal or family experience with substance use disorder (SUD), and/or who is passionate about supporting someone in their recovery from a SUD • Have a high school diploma or equivalent After submitting your interest, you will be contacted regarding potential scholarship options. Registration via Eventbrite does not guarantee a seat. Classes are kept small and registrants are required to respond to outreach and confirm participation. Instructor: Katrina Fox , CRPA/CARC NYCB Trainer Katrina Fox is approved by ASAP-NYCB to deliver this training towards professional certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) and/or Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) CRPA-P Course Schedule: Classes start February 10th and conclude February 21st. Classes are held on every day, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm. Classes from Feb 10-14th focus on the Recovery Coach Academy; OFF February 17th; February 18th class focuses on MSR; classes from February 19-21st focus on Ethics. If you have a scheduling conflict on any day but wish to take the course, please reach out and we can help determine whether this course or a future course would meet your needs.

Healthy Capital District is offering courses for provisional certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)!

We're committed to your success, supporting you throughout the entire process. Unlike other programs, we provide three months of post-course support. From foundational training to application submission, we're here for you.

Upon receiving your CRPA-P, you can immediately bill Medicaid through an OASAS-licensed entity!

To qualify for CRPA certification, you must:

  • Have a personal or family history of substance use disorder (SUD) or a passion for supporting those in recovery.

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

After expressing interest, you'll be contacted about potential scholarship options. Please note that Eventbrite registration doesn't guarantee a seat. Classes are limited, and registrants must respond to outreach and confirm participation.

Instructor: Katrina Fox, CRPA/CARC NYCB Trainer Katrina Fox is approved by ASAP-NYCB to deliver training for Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) and Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) certifications.

CRPA-P Course Schedule:

  • Start Date: February 10th

  • End Date: February 21st

  • Daily Schedule: 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday-Friday

  • Course Breakdown:February 10-14: Recovery Coach Academy
    February 17: Off
    February 18: Motivational Interviewing
    February 19-21: Ethics
